Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Iasis Hospital has a Multidisciplinary 5-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU) with state-of-the-art equipment (bedside monitors, central station for continuous monitoring and recording of vitals, pulse oximetry, temperature and pressure of patients, respirators, intravenous infusion dosing pumps, enteral nutrition pumps, intra-aortic balloon pump, blood gas analysers, cardiac output measurement-recording systems, portable x-ray scanner and portable body & heart ultrasound machine) and specialised medical and nursing staff.
The hospital's ICU can handle any critically ill patient with heart, respiratory, neurological problems and injuries, requiring intensive care and treatment, with or without mechanically-assisted respiration. The Unit operates around the clock with the support of the Hospital's Diagnostic and Imaging Laboratories and physicians across all medical specialities.
Medical and nursing services are provided in a caring environment, with great understanding shown of the emotional turmoil that the patients and their families experience.
