Quality & Safety
Iasis Hospital implements a Quality Management System which has incorporated, develops and monitors the efforts to improve the quality of services in all departments, laboratories and units of the Hospital. The Quality Department is responsible for the development and proper operation of the system and, in collaboration with the Managers and Heads of each sector, coordinates and monitors the activities of the Quality Management Programme and supports all persons involved and their actions.
To ensure food safety and quality, the Hospital implements a Food Safety Management System in line with the requirements of ISO 22000:2005. More specifically, this Management System proactively identifies, analyses and prevents all risks related to food quality, health and safety. The identification and management of the risks involved is primarily based on the care of patients, the applicable law, the guidelines of competent authorities and the resulting scientific data.
The Quality Department is responsible for the development and continuous improvement of the Food Safety Management System, while the overall responsibility for the operation and strict compliance with the Food Safety Management System lies with the Food Safety Team which operates under the supervision of the Hospital-acquired Infections Board.
To achieve proper operation of the Quality Management System and the Food Safety Management System, the Management of Iasis commits to ensure that the Quality policy is comprehensible, applied and adhered to on all organisational levels of the Hospital, and provides human resources with all means required for continuous development.
